TME Engine SDK
The offline positional and astrology engine behind ChartVault, now available to license on its own.
The TME Engine places the Sun, Moon, and planets across 30,000 years of history, entirely offline. Its positions are built from NASA JPL's DE441 — a public-domain source, so there is no licensed dependency — but what the SDK ships is not raw DE441: it is our own proprietary compiled representation, a Chebyshev fit in our format with our reduction pipeline, engineered for offline speed and Swiss-parity accuracy. Against the professional reference it agrees to 0.002–0.004 arcseconds in the modern era and to better than a tenth of an arcsecond five thousand years ago. On top of the positions sits a full astrology layer — houses, nodes, eclipses, primary directions, fixed stars, Vedic, and more — each validated technique by technique against independent sources. One hundred and two automated tests hold every number in place, documented in a published validation paper.
It ships as a compiled library plus a data file: no cloud, no network, no account, no per-request billing, and no AGPL or per-seat obligation. Embed it in a desktop app, a browser via WebAssembly, or any language through the C ABI.

Questions
Is the TME Engine the Swiss Ephemeris?
No. It is an independent engine, built directly from the public-domain JPL DE441 ephemeris with our own Chebyshev representation and reduction chain. It agrees with the Swiss Ephemeris to 0.002–0.004 arcseconds in the modern era, but shares none of its code and carries no AGPL or per-seat obligation.
Does it run offline?
Yes, entirely. The engine is a compiled library plus a data file; there is no network call, no account, and no server. It runs on the device, in a browser via WebAssembly, or in any language through the C ABI.
How accurate is it, and how do you know?
It matches the professional reference to a few thousandths of an arcsecond in the modern era and to better than a tenth of an arcsecond five thousand years ago, across a 30,000-year range. Every figure is pinned by an automated test suite and documented in a published validation paper.
What data does it use, and is it just public-domain data?
NASA JPL's DE441 development ephemeris is the public-domain source we build from, so the engine carries no licensed dependency. The data files in the SDK, however, are not raw DE441 — they are our own proprietary compiled representation: a Chebyshev fit in our own format, produced by our reduction and correction pipeline. The public-domain source is free to anyone; the engineered data files are Daphne Labs intellectual property.
How is the SDK licensed?
Per product, as a one-time purchase. The Indie tier (CA$299) is for products under CAD 100,000 annual revenue; the Company tier (CA$599) has no revenue limit and includes the deep-history and extended-asteroid data packs. The first year of updates is included; an optional annual plan keeps time-scale data and modules fresh.
Do I have to credit Daphne Labs in my product?
No. Attribution such as “Powered by the TME Engine” is welcome but not required. Your product embeds the engine and ships royalty free.
